Interstate 75 in North Carolina,  Mile Marker NC 172 near Roanoke Rapids NJ.

Richard reports "State Police sit in a tree covered median in slightly carved out spot complete with gravel base for all weather use."  This Bear Trap is just South of the Virginia Stateline and may be part of a Drug Interdiction program watching for narcotics entering the State
