This Driver reports: "In
this general area there are hidden cross-overs near exits 31. Bear usually in
cross-over road, well hidden to oncoming traffic. Use
'instant on' however you can detect the reflection from vehicle in front of
you when bear hits it. Also 3-5 miles before this exit, bear almost always in
grassy median cross-over, well hidden. In this area, approaching general area
of exit 31, he is usually watching the east bound lane, however he can track
west-bound traffic as well. Encounter him many time through the years in
these locations. These two aforementioned areas are well known by truckers."
