Interstate 77 in Virginia, Mile Marker 48 near Bland County, VA.
This driver reports: "The Bland County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police almost constantly patrol I-77 North Bound traffic just outside of the Big Walker Mountain Tunnel after you come from Wythe County into Bland County. They use a combination of Radar, Laser, Vascar, and Aircraft to patrol the interstate through Bland County and strictly enforce the speed limit. First Sgt. Melvin of the Sheriff's Office is paid to strictly work the interstate and write tickets. He'll get you too. They use a combination of marked and unmarked cruisers ranging from Crown Vics to Impalas and now two new unmarked Dodge Chargers. Radar detectors are illegal in Virginia, even if they aren't plugged in, as long as they are near a power source, it's an extra ticket on top of the speeding, or even by itself."
