BEAR TRAP REPORT
Reported March 1, 2000 by Joe

Interstate 70 in Missouri, Mile Marker 137 thru 162
Joe reports the Bears are real hungry in Callaway County.
Many times a County will be more aggressive than other Counties in traffic
enforcement. In addition, these Counties usually have greatly inflated
charges for their traffic citations. They are out to gouge the
non-resident travelers and fill the coffers so they can build bigger bureaucracies.
Did you know that it costs about $100,000 a year to put an officer in a
patrol car. They figure each patrol car can generate $500,000 in revenue a
year. One Bear Trap located in Orange County California generated
$2,250,000 in 1997
