BEAR TRAP REPORT Reported April 15, 2001 by Sean

Interstate 55 in Illinois, Mile Marker 89 South of Springfield.

Sean reports there is major road construction scheduled to last until 2003.  The speed limit is 45 MPH in much of this area and Smokey is bragging they wrote 435 tickets in March 2001.  Sean reports they are using aircraft between mile markers 85 and 94.  Also Sean reports there are signs warning of aircraft surveillance between mile marker 96 and 105.  It sounds like Smokey wants us to slow down when near Springfield.
