Interstate 40 in California, Mile Marker
18 near Newberry Springs.
Patrick reports "The CHP likes to hang out
100 yards off westbound side of the freeway on National Trails Hwy Behind the
trees approximately 5 miles past the Newberry Springs exit going
westbound."
Our experience indicates westbound drivers have
enjoyed 100 miles of open road and are likely to have their guard down as they
approach Newberry Springs.
There are 7 specific "Situations" where you can find bears because
they are creatures of habit.
